What a scorcher yesterday… and today it is set to be 29 degrees. Summer has arrived!..

Hope this weather continues right through until September, four months of glorious sunshine.

Sunday, we are off to ‘La plage’. There are lots of beaches within easy reach – the coast town of Vannes is just 30 mins away; Carnac has miles of sandy beaches, but is touristy and can get very busy. Our favourite beach in Brittany is Damgan. It is also popular with the French, who keep it a secret, so you won’t find many English here.

Here is a little snippet of what we’ll be doing on Sunday ……

What is your favourite beach in Brittany?

Joe, their son, was born in France, in 2003.

The main reasons for Nicola and Mark moving to rural Brittany were to escape the fast pace of London life and to experience a simple, yet very fulfilling lifestyle.

They have seven gites in Southern Brittany sleeping two, four, six and eight people. Prices from 150 Pounds per week. All have UK TV, dishwashers, washing machines and comfy sofas. Their location is makes them a perfect base from which to get out and about to visit the local mediaeval towns, great restaurants and the nearby stunning sandy coast.
