This is a website was originally dedicated to a little town in Brittany called La Roche Bernard, and its immediate surrounding area. Events have conspired to expand the geographical sphere of interest to the whole of Brittany and the Pays de la Loire regions of France.
My interest in La Roche Bernard goes back over 20 years. As one of the “early days” Brits that arrived in the area in 1990 and purchased a partially-renovated old farmhouse I have had 2 decades to develop my love and knowledge of the town and the wider regions of Brittany and Pays de la Loire – from the bustle and chic of La Baule, to the peace and natural beauty of La Briere (the 2nd largest area of marshland in France), and plenty of fishing ports, seaside resorts and other places of interest in between.
The original version of this website was dedicated to attracting holiday rental visitors to my property – which it did admirably for a number of years, but I no longer rent the house, preferring to use it for longer periods with my wife and family and to let friends use it from time to time. So, the question was – should I take the site down or should I redevelop it as a general interest website for the area, with an added objective of supporting local businesses that are in need of a little boost from English visitors?
I run a long-standing and successful website design and development business as my ‘day job’. We can offer professional translation French-English-French, as well as care plans to keep your website up-to-date and running efficiently.
